How does FITmama South Bay accommodate mothers with young children during workout sessions?FITmama South Bay understands the challenges of being a mother and offers a solution to the most common obstacle: finding childcare while working out. We offer workouts where babies and young children come along for the ride. This allows mothers to bond with their children while getting a great workout all at once, both in person and online. Our priority is to provide a safe and fun environment for both moms and kids.

Can I attend classes if I am pregnant?Yes, absolutely! At FITmama South Bay, we welcome pregnant women to attend our classes. Our live workouts are designed with modifications for both prenatal and postpartum mothers, ensuring a safe and effective experience. Our certified instructors will provide the necessary modifications to ensure that you feel comfortable throughout the class. However, please consult with your physician before your first class. Our at home classes offer a supportive and inclusive environment; however, some classes may not be best suited for pregnant mamas. We will note which classes offer safe movements for our mamas to be, look for the tag "prenatal safe". We look forward to guiding you through a safe and effective workout during this special time.

What types of workouts are offered at FITmama South Bay?FITmama South Bay offers workouts that include cardio, strength, balance, and flexibility training. These workouts are designed specifically for moms, helping them to regain their strength and endurance after childbirth. Our workouts combine various fitness techniques such as HIIT, resistance training, cardio, and yoga-inspired moves to provide a holistic fitness experience. Our trainers create personalized workouts that cater to different stages of motherhood, whether you are a new mom looking to rebuild your strength or a mom with older children looking to maintain your fitness routine. All of our workouts are scalable and modified to suit individual needs and abilities.

I just had a baby, when can I join classes (online or live) at FITmama South Bay?Congratulations on your new arrival! At FITmama South Bay, our mission is to empower new mothers with safe and effective fitness classes that help to heal and strengthen their postpartum bodies. We recommend that you wait at least six weeks after giving birth (or 12 weeks if you had a c-section) before participating in any strenuous exercise program. During this time, it's important to focus on rest, hydration, and gentle movement such as walking or stretching. Once you get the green light from your healthcare provider, our classes are designed to help you rebuild your core strength, tone your muscles, and improve your cardiovascular health. We also offer modifications for any physical limitations you may have due to pregnancy, delivery, or breastfeeding. We understand that every new mom is unique, so we encourage you to communicate with our certified instructors about any concerns or special needs you may have. FITmama coaches are NOT doctors, medical professionals, or physical therapists. We can not consult on injury corrections. Although, we are happy to see you at other community events before you are cleared for exercise if you want to get out of the house!

Can I bring snacks for the kiddos? (Yes! Minus peanuts!)Yes, absolutely! Bring some yummy snacks for your littles! Yet, as we are a Peanut-free environment, we just ask you leave any peanuty treats at home. Thank you for your understanding! :)

I'm just getting back into exercise and not sure what I can and can't do?It's important that you get assessed by a healthcare professional (PCP, OB, midwife, pelvic floor specalist) before beginning any exercise routine. You coaches will also cue proper form in all of the workouts and always offer modifications. It's important that if a certain exercise does not feel right, you stop!

How can I access FITmama content on the go?FITmama South Bay uses the FIT by Wix app which you can download on the App Store or Google Play. This app makes it easy for you to book and manage your classes, access workout videos, and stay in touch with your community of fellow FITmamas. With the app, you can also receive push notifications about upcoming events and special promotions. It's a convenient tool to help you stay on track with your fitness goals and connect with other like-minded moms at FITmama South Bay.

What is the membership cancellation policy?You can cancel at any time, however you must cancel before your next billing date to avoid being charged. You will lose access to content at the end of your billing cycle. Due to the nature of the membership offering, we DO NOT provide refunds.

What payment methods does FITmama South Bay accept?FITmama South Bay accepts payment through several methods. Clients can pay via credit card, debit card, or electronic bank transfer. Additionally, the business offers a pay-as-you-go option and a variety of bundled class package options. It is important to note that all bookings must be paid for in advance, and no refunds are offered. However, you will receive a credit to join us at another time.

What if I need to adjust my membership?We understand that life can be unpredictable and plans may change. If you need to adjust your membership, simply contact us and we'll work with you to find a solution that best fits your needs. Whether it's upgrading to a higher tier, downgrading to a lower tier, or pausing your membership temporarily, we're here to help. We also offer a flexible cancellation policy, with no long-term commitments or contracts required. Our goal is to make it easy for you to stay committed to your fitness journey, no matter what life throws your way. What should I do if my baby doesn't like being in the stroller, gets fussy, or I need to feed during a class?We understand that babies can be unpredictable and have unique needs. At FITmama South Bay, we encourage you to listen to your baby's cues and do what you need to do to keep them happy and comfortable. If your baby is fussy or needs to be fed during class, feel free to step aside and tend to their needs. You can also wear your baby in a carrier or wrap to keep them close and calm. Our certified fitness instructors will be happy to offer modifications or alternative exercises so you can continue to participate in class at your own pace. Our classes are all about promoting a supportive and inclusive environment for mamas and their babies, so please don't hesitate to let us know how we can make the experience better for you and your little one. Additionally, we offer virtual workout options that allow moms to exercise from the comfort of their own home, providing a convenient and flexible alternative for times when bringing a baby to a workout is not in the cards (we have all been there).

Do I need a jogging stroller for the workout?No, a jogging stroller is not required for a workout at FITmama South Bay. However, a good quality, sturdy stroller is recommended to ensure the safety of your child during the workout should we go for a run. If you don't have a jogging stroller, you can still participate in the workout using a regular stroller or a carrier. The most important aspect of the workout is that you feel comfortable and safe, and that your child is secure and happy.

How do I schedule multiple/reoccurring live classes with FITmama South Bay?You can easily schedule multiple or reoccurring classes through our online booking system. Simply create an account on our website and select the classes you want to attend. From there, you can select the option to book multiple sessions or book a recurring class on a weekly basis. This is a great option for busy moms who want to prioritize their fitness routine without worrying about scheduling conflicts. And the best part? You only need to schedule once and your classes will be automatically reserved for you each week. How will I know if a FITmama South Bay class location has changed due to weather or other situation?In the event of a location change, FITmama South Bay will make every effort to notify you in advance via email or text message. We encourage all clients to sign up for our email and text notification list to receive the latest updates on class location changes and cancellations. Additionally, you can always check our WhatsAPP Community for the latest news and updates. We understand that flexibility is key for busy moms, and we strive to provide as much notice as possible for any changes to class schedules or locations. What if I can't attend a scheduled class?As moms, every day or week will be different. Just try your best to show up as best as you can. All of our memberships are about working with what you got and doing what you can! If you are unable to attend a class, please notify us as soon as possible by email or phone so we can make the necessary adjustments. If you find it difficult to attend a class in person, we offer virtual or on-demand classes that you can participate in from the comfort of your own home.

Can I try a class?Yes, absolutely! We offer a week free trial for new Monthly Members. Not ready to commit to that, reach out to us at hello@fitmamarunclub.com and we can help you secure a free class! This gives you the opportunity to experience one of our classes before making a commitment. Our classes are designed for moms of all fitness levels, and our certified fitness instructors will guide you through a safe yet challenging workout. We encourage you to come in comfortable workout clothes and bring a water bottle and yoga mat.

What should I bring to a class?For mamas, it's recommended to bring a water bottle, yoga mat, sunscreen, and comfortable exercise shoes and clothing. For mini fitness enthusiasts, be sure to pack snacks, toys, diaper essentials, and a sturdy stroller with a five-point harness and suitable wheels for brisk walking or running on various terrains. By bringing these items, you'll be well-prepared and can fully enjoy your class without worrying about missing or uncomfortable equipment or your mini being fussy. We strive to create a fun and supportive fitness environment for moms and their little ones, and appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain this atmosphere.

Do I need to pre-register or can I just show up for classes?We highly recommend pre-registration for all classes at Fitmama South Bay. This guarantees your spot in the class and allows our instructors to prepare for your arrival. However, we do offer drop-in options for some of our classes as space allows. If you do choose to drop-in, please arrive at least 10 minutes before the start of class to secure your spot. Keep in mind that pre-registration is always the best option to ensure your place in class. To make it easy, we offer online registration through our website or FIT by Wix app for added convenience.
